Marketing Your Care Business In The Midst of Covid-19: 3 Top Tips

It has been almost 2 years since the first UK lockdown and with so much constantly changing, it can be easy to lose sight of what’s going well and what you can improve on when it comes to marketing your care business in the midst of Covid-19.
You may remember we posted a blog back in March 2020 titled ‘How Marketing Can Help Care Businesses Through Covid-19’. A lot has happened within the sector since and now is a great time to revisit your marketing strategy and re-familiarise yourself with the things you and your care business can do to continue thriving and perhaps find some areas where you can improve.
Here are 3 top things you should be thinking about when marketing your care business in the midst of Covid-19:
1. Reassuring your clients
This is just as important now as it was at the beginning of the pandemic. We are still surrounded by so much uncertainty, it is vital that you do your best to continue reassuring your clients. Reassure them that although the care sector is struggling, the care you are providing is still second to none.
You can tie this into your marketing strategy and do so by informing your clients of all the things you are doing to keep their loved ones safe, send out a monthly newsletter, start blogging etc. The more you communicate and keep your clients informed, the better.
2. Making good use of social media platforms and improving your online presence
If you still don’t have a presence on social media, it’s never too late to start! Even before the pandemic, social media was thriving, this is especially the case now as the pandemic has massively increased the number of people online.
Social media is a great way to be active and present, connect with your clients and build trust and credibility for your care business. It’ll give you a chance to network, to join in and contribute to conversations within the sector, share news, give updates and lots more.
Not to mention, it can be a relatively inexpensive (if not free) way to promote your care business which is vital, especially if you don’t have a big marketing budget, so make the most of it!
If you have conquered the socials and feel confident with your presence on those, you can also improve your online presence by doing some research into SEO tactics, optimising your website for mobile use, making some new video content and perhaps even start to think about PPC as an option for marketing your care business if you haven’t already.
3. Getting Creative
Lastly, it is important to note that although the uncertainty can be scary, this isn’t a time to fall back on old marketing strategies, now is a fantastic time to think outside the box, be a little more creative and be open to trying new things, this will be especially helpful when attempting to catch the eye of new potential clients.
It’ll make you stand out from your competitors and it’s always great to be informed of trends so that you can create content that is engaging, innovative and helpful to your audience.
With or without the pandemic, marketing will always be an important aspect of running your care business. Continuing to invest in and improve your marketing strategies during Covid-19 will help your care business get ahead of competitors, learn more about your target audience, build relationships and even set your business up for success post Covid-19.
Now is not the time to put the brakes on your marketing efforts, it’s a great opportunity to refine your strategy, identify which bits you are excelling at and which bits perhaps need a little more work.
